The Seattle Mariners sign Shawn Camp
The Seattle Mariners have signed 36-year old righty reliever Shawn Camp to a 1-year deal. Camp pitched in 67 games (0 starts) for the Blue Jays last year and he was 6-3 with 1 save, a 4.21 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP. He has now pitched in 432 games (8 starts) in his first 8 years in the majors and he is 25-26 with 10 saves, a 4.40 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. Camp will pitch in middle relief for the Mariners in 2012.
