If the Mariners put together a good plan and quit wasting money on journeyman type starting pitchers the future could be bright for them. Morrow is downright nasty and they should just let him team up with J.J. Putz to give the Mariners a dominant bullpen the rest of the way. Maybe they can convert Morrow into a starting pitcher next season but they should leave him alone for now.

Man its good to see a bright spot in the Mariner's Organization. This seasons was touted to be a big deal and had so much potential but its been the exact opposite. As a huge Mariners fan (through thick and thin) that's relocated to Australia from Seattle, I don't get as many updates as I used to. But when I read things like this, it makes me hopeful that maybe all the bad things won't last forever. All I can say is, among other things, thank God Bavasi is gone. Maybe we'll get someone who'll actually chase some talent.
